The aim of the Cambridge University Ski & Snowboard Club is to promote skiing and snowboarding throughout the University. Our primary focus for the academic year is undoubtedly the Varsity Trip, during which our annual Varsity Match occurs. As the largest student snowsport trip in the world, the Varsity Trip is undoubtedly one of the sporting and social highlights of the Oxbridge calendar. On the racing side, we field 3 mens and 2 ladies teams, each consisting of 6 competitors. There are also freestyle competitions.
During term, we train weekly, with both freestyle and race sessions. Details for Michaelmas 2011 are still to be confirmed, but we will be making use of both local indoor slopes and dry slope, with weekly fitness sessions.
An active social program supports our busy calendar with the Varsity Reunion Dinner and après-ski sessions being some of the highlights. For more information, contact the current President.
